The Arkansas Razorbacks used an unreal fourth-quarter comeback to upend the Texas A&M Aggies for the second year in a row in the Southwest Classic in Arlington, Texas. QB Tyler Wilson (#8 pictured) finished with the most passing yards (510) in Razorbacks' history during the team's 42-38 victory.
The 2nd-ranked LSU Tigers beat its third ranked opponent on the road this season in a 47-21 rout of the 16th-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers Saturday night.
Auburn dominated South Carolina Saturday in the Georgia Dome by a resounding score of 56-17. Cam Newton led his offense to an SEC Championship game record 589 yards of total offense. Newton threw for four touchdowns and ran for two more on the night. Auburn will now play Oregon in the Tostitos BCS National Championship game on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. CT at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. It will be Auburn's first appearance in the BCS title game and its second BCS bowl appearance. The Tigers other BCS appearance was the 2005 NOKIA Sugar Bowl season that capped an undefeated year. Auburn's last national championship came in 1957, and the Tigers will try to make it five straight BCS crowns for the Southeastern Conference.
