The Jackson State Tigers came into Thursday night's matchup against the defending SWAC champion Texas Southern Tigers with big expectations. It was billed as the 'Battle of the Tigers', but Jackson State's bunch left a distinct message with a 58-13 drubbing of its' SWAC Western Division opponent. As the South Atlantic Conference wrapped up its season Saturday, two teams with only a twenty minute proximity between themselves went head to head for bragging rights for the next year. Homecoming was in the air at Brooks Stadium in Conway, SC, as the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers played host to the Stony Brook Seawolves. Delaware freshman RB Andrew Pierce (#30 seen stiff-arming for TD) went for his fourth consecutive CAA Rookie of the Week honor this past Saturday in Richmond, VA. He took a step towards the incredible feat by rushing for 113 yards and three touchdowns in the Blue Hens' 34-13 ousting of the 5th ranked Spiders at their new home, E. Claiborne Robins Stadium.

Eastern Kentucky WR Orlandus Harris' (#9 reaching above) one hand snag was just one of the many highlights to start off the weekend last Friday afternoon. After getting stormed out of action in Springfield, MO on Thursday night, the Bears of Missouri State ate up the Eastern Kentucky Colonels 31-9 in front of their hometown fans.
