Georgia went home singing the blues not because of Beale Street, but in large part due to Central Florida's first-ever bowl win over an SEC team. The landmark victory marked the team's first ever win in a bowl game and they were led by running back Latavius Murray's MVP performance.
The Southern Miss Golden Eagles proved too much for the Thundering Herd of Marshall Saturday night, defeating their Conference USA rival 41-16 in Hattiesburg, MS. Austin Davis (#12 QB in pictured) ran for three scores and threw for another to help lead the Eagles in their conference opener.
The Houston Cougars, led by running back Bryce Beall's (#25 pictured above) career night, got revenge for last season's 58-41 loss to the UTEP Miners in El Paso, TX. The team has exhibited an added reliance on their running game up to this point in the season, evidenced by their nine rushing touchdowns in the first two games of 2010.
