As the South Atlantic Conference wrapped up its season Saturday, two teams with only a twenty minute proximity between themselves went head to head for bragging rights for the next year. Brevard College defeated the Mars Hill Lions 35-28, snapping a 4-game losing streak since the program was reinstated in 2006. Here are a few gameday photos provided by DraftNasty.com:
Boston College handed Wake Forest their seventh straight loss at BB&T Field in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Montel Harris (#2 pictured) carried 36 times for 183 yards and three touchdowns to help the Eagles soar to a 23-13 victory.
Sophomore wide receiver Perez Ashford (#7 pictured) was just one of the many Northern Illinois Huskies who stood tall as the team recorded its seventh win in a row with a 65-30 thrashing of the Toledo Rockets Tuesday night.
Quarterback Ricky Stanzi (#12 pictured) was one of many Iowa Hawkeyes who stood out in the team's dominating 37-6 victory over Michigan State in Kinnick Stadium this past weekend. Here are some of the images from Saturday's Big Ten matchup in Iowa City, IA.
In Meagan O'Toole-Pitts' photo galllery recap of Texas A&M's 45-27 victory over Texas Tech, Aggie quarterback Ryan Tannehill (#17 pictured) put on quite a show. Her photos capture many of the images in one of the Big 12's best all-time quarterbacking performances. In his first career start, Tannehill threw for a school-record 449 yards and four touchdowns in what has to be described as an unreal debut. A&M's veteran signal-caller and preseason All-Big 12 selection Jerrod Johnson, after splitting time with Tannehill one week ago vs. Kansas, did not see action on Saturday.
