Louisiana Lafayette senior forward Tyren Johnson was named the 2009-10 Sun Belt Conference Player of the year. Although his first three years of college basketball were fairly unremarkable, as a senior not only did he break out for the Ragin’ Cajuns, he also put himself on the NBA Draft radar.
Slaughter has been one of the mainstays of the Hilltopper program over the last three seasons and is a big reason why the team continued to be a consistent NCAA presence. He is somewhat undersized to be a true two guard at the next level, but his scoring ability gives him a legitimate chance of catching on with an NBA team.
